Stars and Stripes

I'm not going to pretend that I'm a super patriotic person, but for some reason I just want to rock those stars and stripes this summer. I started looking around for some affordable finds just in time for the 4th of July.

I've been eyeing this tank for a while. It's from Target, and only $10 right now! Unfortunately, it is only in stores, and I could not find it at mine. If you've ever been to a Target in Brooklyn, you know they're a disaster. Hopefully you'll have better luck than me!

This fringe tee is probably a little much for me, but so adorable! I can just imagine them with some denim shorts and cowboy boots...missing Texas much? It's only $12.80 at Forever 21. Perfect for picnics and fireworks.

Another blue star print item. I am kind of obsessed with this skirt. Throw in that it is only $6.49 right now at Charlotte Russe, and I'm in heaven. It can easily be dressed up or down. Plus, these bandage-y skirts make my big butt look good!

I want to wear this striped zip top with the skirt above. I'm all about shades of blue. This top is on sale for $15--that would be a whole outfit for under $25. These two pieces would clearly be worn again and again. This top can go from work under a blazer to date night to picnic in the park.

Going to something a little more formal? This Mudd lace dress is completely adorable. If you want to be very patriotic, switch out the belt for a red or white one. The dress also comes in white, but that can be a risky color choice for July 4th activities. Plus, this dress will easily transition to fall and winter. Add some boots, tights, and a sweater. Perfect for any season. Right now this dress is $31.99 at Kohl's, but they're always having a sale or discount with your Kohl's card.

Speaking of belts, this one is the perfect color combination. It's red, white, navy, and gray. I love the vintage feel from the braided look. Only $5.80 at Forever 21! 

I realize I've been neglecting red here, but there is just a ton of cute blue stuff out right now! This red pleated dress is cute and great for a variety of events. You can even pair it with the belt above! It's $34.99 at Kohl's.

I can't help but post this two tone wedge. It's only $24.99 at Kohl's. A lot of the reviews mention that it's comfortable, which is a must for anyone who walks a lot. Wedges are the best because you don't get stuck in sidewalk cracks or fall through subway grates. Even better when a pair of shoes doesn't cost you a whole paycheck!
